Stone Mountain turquoise pendant necklace
This one of a kind necklace is incredibly special.
The star of this necklace is a hand cut cabochon of natural Stone Mountain turquoise. It's beautiful and of the highest quality and full of character- just mesmerizing!
The stone sits in a heavy sterling silver bezel setting.
The stone measures 1.09 inch tall x .77 inch wide and weighs 25 carats.
The pendant back is cut out of thick sterling silver sheet.
I added a frame using a serpent that I carved out of silver, and engraved with my tudor rose details.
The pendant measures 1.72 inches tall x 1.06 inch wide x .27 inch thick.
The pendant hangs from an oval sterling silver ring.
Turquoise is a stone of protection, worn as an amulet since the beginning of time.
It's worn to balance and align the chakras, and thought to help ward of panic attacks and depression.
A talisman of transformation, of healing, and protection.
The serpent is one of the oldest symbols used by man.
It represents the search for wisdom, rebirth, and desire.
In this design, I envisioned the circle of life and the Norse Ouroboros.
