Golden Hills Turquoise Statement Necklace

This one of a kind necklace is incredibly special.

The star of this necklace is a hand cut cabochon of natural Golden Hills turquoise. It's beautiful and of the highest quality and full of character- just mesmerizing!

The stone sits in a heavy sterling silver bezel setting.
The stone measures 19mm tall x 13mm wide and weighs 8 carats.

The pendant back is cut out of thick sterling silver sheet.
I added a frame using a serpent that I carved out of silver, and engraved with my tudor rose details.

The pendant measures 1.75 inch tall x .75 inch wide x .24 inch thick.

I added one of my tudor rose medallions to the back of the pendant.
The pendant hangs from an oval solid 14k gold ring.

Turquoise is a stone of protection, worn as an amulet since the beginning of time.
It's worn to balance and align the chakras, and thought to help ward of panic attacks and depression.
A talisman of transformation, of healing, and protection.

The serpent is one of the oldest symbols used by man.
It represents the search for wisdom, rebirth, and desire.
In this design, I envisioned the circle of life as in the Ouroboros, and an infinity symbol that can be completed by the mind.
