Egyptian Turquoise Statement Necklace

This one of a kind necklace is incredibly special.

The star of this necklace is a hand cut cabochon of natural Egyptian turquoise. It's beautiful and of the highest quality and full of character- just mesmerizing!

The stone sits in a heavy sterling silver bezel setting.
The stone measures 19mm tall x 15mm wide and weighs 11.5 carats.
This stone inspired the design, as it looks like snakeskin.
This is the same turquoise worn by pharoahs in antiquity.

The pendant back is cut out of thick sterling silver sheet.
I added a frame using a serpent that I carved out of silver, and engraved with my tudor rose details.

The pendant measures 2 inches tall x .87 inch wide x .25 inch thick.

I added one of my tudor rose crescent moon medallions to the back of the pendant.
The pendant hangs from an oval solid 14k gold ring.

Turquoise is a stone of protection, worn as an amulet since the beginning of time.
It's worn to balance and align the chakras, and thought to help ward of panic attacks and depression.
A talisman of transformation, of healing, and protection.

The serpent is one of the oldest symbols used by man.
It represents the search for wisdom, rebirth, and desire.
In this design, I envisioned the circle of life and the Norse Ouroboros.

The moon has been a symbol of the divine feminine since the beginning of time and I love to use it for that reason.
