wire wrapped pyrite and herkimer diamond necklace

This pyrite gemstone necklace was handcrafted in my studio.
Each of these little gemstone beads was hand selected for it's uniform shape and then wrapped with sterling silver wire. I added in a genuine Herkimer diamond, for a bit of unexpected sparkle.

These pyrite stones are of the highest quality. I've loved pyrite since I was a kid. The shine is earthy but still a little bit glamourous. Pyrite is thought to be a grounding stone.

I envisioned this piece worn layered with one or two of my pendant necklaces, in different lengths.
(I made one just like this for my self.)
I have hours of time invested into this piece.

4.3mm pyrite beads.
6mm Herkimer quartz.
The hand wrapped gemstone and sterling silver wire chain in the photos measures 18 inches in length.

The entire piece was oxidized and then polished by hand.
