Lone Mountain turquoise, peridot, and rainbow moonstone mala

I hand selected 100 pieces of natural Lone Mountain Mine turquoise and wrapped each one by hand with recycled sterling silver wire.
Four AAA faceted rainbow moonstones and four AAA faceted peridots are wrapped with solid 14k yellow gold wire. The moonstones have the most beautiful bright blue flash.

The resulting 108 bead ‘chain’ is an intentional symphony of color. The head bead is a beautiful high quality nucleated freshwater cultured pearl. A fringe of five unheated silver sapphires from Madagascar completes the piece.

Turquoise is sacred to American Indians and worn for protection. It’s thought to enhance wisdom, kindness and inner harmony. I spent time each summer in New Mexico as a child and remember being mesmerized by the beautiful color of turquoise against the backdrop of sand and adobe. These stones are magical. The color- joyful.

I spent over two days creating your necklace. A true labor of love.
