Fox Mine Turquoise Necklace
I laid out graduated size nuggets of Fox mine turquoise from Nevada for this gemstone necklace.
The largest stone is in the center, with the smallest stones near the clasp.
I added in one flawless faceted peridot, as a colorful and fun touch.
Beautiful shades of blue and green.
Earthy yet vibrant in color and feel.
This piece would be beautiful layered or on it's own.
Each stone was wrapped by hand with sterling silver wire, creating a chain of gemstone links.
The rotating lobster clasp and hand wrapped link closure are solid sterling silver.
Measures 18 inches long.
The largest stone is 13mm wide.
The smallest is 6.10mm wide.
The peridot measures 6.2mm wide.
Turquoise is sacred to American Indians and worn for protection. It’s thought to enhance wisdom, kindness and inner harmony. I spent time each summer in New Mexico as a child and remember being mesmerized by the beautiful color of turquoise against the backdrop of sand and adobe. These stones are magical. The color- joyful.
Handcrafted in Tennessee.
